About Me
Welcome to my interventional pain management practice and the first interventional pain management private practice with in house fluoroscopy in the 5 Towns! My journey into medicine has been shaped by personal experiences, family values, and a lifelong passion for helping others.
My Early Inspiration
I grew up in a small, close-knit community where family was everything. My Mom was a hardworking and deeply compassionate person who always went out of her way to help others. It was through her journey of battling cancer and fighting the pain that I decided to dedicate my life to helping others manage their pain. I remember watching helplessly as this person, who had once been full of life, struggled just to get through the day. The frustration she felt — trying treatment after treatment — stayed with me. I knew then that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people regain control over their lives and find relief from pain. The hardest part about chronic pain and interventional pain management is that we have not yet created a magic pill or quick fix, but I will work with you to regain function and quality of life while decreasing the pain you feel along the way.
Education and Medical Training
My journey to becoming a physician started at the University of Arizona, where I pursued dual degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, Physiology, both of which I completed Cum Laude.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, where I was recognized with a Distinction in Community Service and a Commitment to Underserved People (CUP) Leadership Award.
Following medical school, I completed a Transitional Year in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I then pursued my Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where I gained extensive experience managing patients with complex pain conditions, neurological disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries.
Eager to deepen my expertise, I completed a Fellowship in Multidisciplinary Pain Management at the Hackensack Meridian JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. During this time, I mastered advanced techniques for ultrasound guided peripheral joint and nerve injections, fluoroscopic spinal injections, neuromodulation etc.
